S.O.F.A Physical Education Support Sessions within P.P.A time.

These sessions run for between an hour and two hours depending
on the school needs. S.O.F.A coaches will come into schools and cover the
invasion and striking games of the National Curriculum. Our aim is to provide
students with a wide range of sports at a young age. The lessons include
detailed programs looking at skill acquisition, fitness and team work within the
following sports: Football, Basketball, Netball, Athletics, Cricket,
Field Hockey, Uni Hoc, Badminton, Tennis, Handball, Rugby (tag Rugby) and
Rounders. The concepts of Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) are
integrated into all programs to ensure that quality and movement occur through all sports.

Lessons can take place within the morning or afternoon of the
school day again depending on when the school wishes to release teacher/s.
S.O.F.A are excellent for releasing year group teachers together or two or three
classes at a time. We run our sessions with a ratio of 16 children to one coach.
For each form class that means two coaches. Lesson plans are filled out for each
lesson and given to teachers for them to use themselves or to keep up to date
with the progress of the children. S.O.F.A has also found in the past that this
service has helped schools hit targets as set at within the PESSEL strategy.
